I dunno why. I'm not complaining though. I have the best job haha.

Notice Eagle going through Aljur's stuff while the kid sings.

Suzi's birthday- Last minute changes

Where will I start?
***long sigh***

Sunday, June 22.2008 Notes from the last minute change of live event due to the storm Two weeks ago, we have conceptualized a segment for Ms. Suzi Entrata-Abrera's birthday. Suzi's one of the host in UH. Everything was working well until the storm hit over the weekend, causing our live event to change and we have to start from square one. >>sadface<< 8.pm, Sunday- Typhoon Frank was still lashing Manila. I reported for work, with my tatay driving me to the station 9ish-Navotas, Manila. We waded (the service vehicle rather) in water. Driver was apprehensive because we might lose breaks. Location is Navotas, which is typically the hardest hit in the metro whenever there's huge rain. 11pm-Finalized the event to be held at some public school which was turned into a temporary shelter for "informal settlers" by the bay- a politically correct way of saying "homeless people" or "squatters" From the original concept of having a mini sportsfest for suzi's birtday, it was turned into a sort of "Suzi gives back" day. Her relatives were very helpful to lend a hand to feed the homeless. I'm halfway done with the hellweek. Wednesday is yet to come. Funny video behind the scenes: Our cameramen Kuya Ricky and Kuya Mark bickering.

Eagle was attacked by a bad case of sinusitis as soon as we went on air.
Sigh
But he had a grand time harrassing my researcher Donnygirl so I think he enjoyed somehow. Hahaha

Cheerdance day sa Univ3rsity of P3rpetual Help Las Pinas

Its a Monday like any other Monday
except..
I don't have a director
I didn't go on air in time for the opening of the show
My target location didnt go as planned
It rained like crap, making the grounds for cheerdance murky (poor cheerdancers)
The gigantic truck keeps on fucking on us
Hmm what else?
That's probably it.
But I don't mind. I've had worse. Hahaha

Dormitory

My co-SP Nahnah's event but I had to cover for her cos she's sick.
I don't even want to remember this stupid event.
All I remember was how I kept screaming because I was having a difficult time coordinating with the studio people. Haha

Divisoria to Commonwealth Market to I dunno what

UH is one of the toughest shows in Public affairs department.
Not everyone can be on the morning show, and from what I've learned through the years is to be resilient, to be proactive and not to get caught up emotionally.
Some people fail to do that.

Brigada eskwela- Payatas C Elementary school

Monday, May 19

Fact: Majority of children in public schools go to school starving, for the lack of food as most of the kids live below the poverty line.

Fact: More than half of the Philippine Public schools in Manila alone have inadequate resources, if not access, to good education.
To a few ones in the metro, the public schools suffer great scarcity in classroom.
One of them is Payatass C elementary school.
After airing the live segment, Dep Ed initiated to put makeshift classrooms for them.
This is one of the reasons why i love my job. That rewarding feeling of being instrumental to help out.

Mall 168 Back to school shopping

Nothing beats retail theraphy in the biggest bargain capital of Manila-- Divisoria
Divisoria is notorious with nasty smelly crowd. Virtually carless streets swarming with people in search of amazing bargains.
I had recollections of going to crowded Divisoria with my mother when I was small.
All of that changed when Mall 168 was born a few years back.

Sonya's garden- Bed & breakfast

Alfonso, Cavite-Tagaytay

This is the escape I've been looking for. Lush greens, wonderful climate healthy food and a romantic setting. Too bad I was too busy and tired to appreciate everything.
I shall return there, with my boyfriend in tow.

Volet's Resort- Dasmarinas, Cavite

Guests: Voyz Avenue (a boyband)don't ask.
Go Girls

Feature aside from the resort itself:
1. Scented Flip flops (which btw I deem unnecessary and utterly useless) Php 600 for a pair of slippers? Who am I kidding?

2. Enviro-sax (a durable, reusable shopping environmental bag which claims it can carry 20 kg, despite looking like a piece of rag.)
To be quite honest, it's a steal for Php 375.
It can look really neat as a laptop bag for me, haha.
But I didn't buy any. I'm too kuripot lately.

3. Basic Swimming from Bert Lozad@ swimming school
